Late last Friday, the voice on the phone was scared at the thought of sleeping out in nearby woods as agencies were closed until Monday and there appeared be no hope.

Within the hour, we met up, sat down and talked over a hot meal. Clearly vulnerable, we created a support plan, booking them into accommodation to keep them safe until Monday when we visited the Council, where an immediate offer of housing was made.
